You’re not alone!
Being an early learning educator is full of extreme highs and lows. We deal with all sorts of real issues, while also seeing incredible growth in our kiddos. Part of this movement is making sure we as a community know we are doing this together. Sometimes you just really need to get a rant out of your system, and other times being able to share this incredible cool thing that just happened is all you need.
We have provided a safe and anonymous place for you to share your best stories, the good and the hard!

“We sent a kid home with a fever. When mom showed up to pick him up, she pulled out her own thermometer, claiming ours didn’t work, and that we were just 'faking it.' Because we can clearly fake multiple thermometers detecting a fever."

"Once, we had a new little girl in our group, and her mom brought her in on the first day. The little girl started playing, and all seemed well, but as the mom was leaving, she stopped and told us that she 'really prefers it if her daughter doesn’t walk.'"

I am always saying silly things to explain things to children. For example, telling children that a spider is more scared of them than they are of the spider. One of our students came across a child who didn’t accept this explanation, saying:
“If the spider is also scared of me, then why is she crawling on me?!”
Hmm, good point!
