TELL YOUR LAWMAKERS: INVEST IN EARLY EDUCATION NOW!

Child care makes all other work possible. Educators have dedicated our  lives to raising generations of children, ensuring they are safe and ready to learn and their parents can go to work.  Child care providers  earn low wages, are not respected as professionals, yet we still risked our heath to keep families safe during the pandemic and continue to provide care to Washington’s kids no matter what.Washington faces a budget shortfall, but instead of prioritizing and investing in child care some electeds are looking to child care and early learning to make up savings.  This means parents will pay MORE , educators will receive LESS and more child care centers will CLOSE.

It doesn’t have to be this way! Tell your legislator to raise revenue and fund  state child care services!  - To raise revenue, make the wealthy few and big corporations pay their fair share. Our communities and economy needs quality and affordable child care to thrive. Don’t balance the budget on the backs of parents, children and workers!
